* Scrumptious herbs for cancer & diabetes Oregano fights cancer and other diseases. This delectable savory herb is good on barbecued meats, potatoes, salads and pizza. For more on oregano, visit Herbal Remedies World for a few pages on the medicinal uses of oregano Tarragon helps treat diabetes. Especially good sprinkled on barbecued vegetables.
* Higher protein breakfast = less belly Diet researchers maintain that many people have dropped weight just by including more protein during breakfast. Pass the eggs, dear.
* Cholesterol supplements University of Pennsylvania researchers found that taking 1,800 mgs of red yeast rice supplements, 2x {daily|per day for 6 months, leads to a reduction of 21% of bad cholesterol. That equals what prescription statins do without the side effects of statins which include muscle soreness. Click for Healthy World's pages on cholesterol:
* Don't take healthy water for granted Just read an article on water by Margaret Hartley Item dealt with how U.S. citizens take for granted and waste this incredibly valuable but scarce resource. One upshot of item is to try and conserve water whenever possible. My take on it is to remind me to value a good glass of water. Enjoy a glass, on an empty stomach, sipping it as if it was a cup of fine tea. Healthy Water has lots of pages on, well, water. Here's a link to our page on healthy hydration that's relevant to this note: Hartley's article genuinely merits the kind of attention I can't pay to it here so here's link to it: click here
* Save our supplements! I just received this news item about our polticos' (USA) attempts to further regulate supplements. Noe look. I don't spout my opinions on controversial subjects. Healthy World readers don't need to know all of my opinions. I don't rail against pharmaceuticals, or political positions and I don't try to manipulate your views either. I just offer health information that I hope you can use. Lots of other writers can flame, accuse, attack. Some do it well and make good points. But I just don't want to do that. But this last item about government's attempts to curtail my - OUR - access to supplements has me totally enraged. So much so that I don't have my faculties enough to discuss it. Here's what I want to scream. Leave us the heck alone. We know what we are doing. We are not children Curtail supplements? Are you kidding me. You politicos have your hands full with really important stuff and you are not succeeding. What the heck do you know about supplements? I love cheeseburgers (that's right, I admit it) and they are more dangerous than any supplement. And don't get me started on drugs. Hands off my damn supplements! Okay, I need a drink of water and a nap. Please visit the following link for more coherent info on this. And please pass link on to friends and family. See you next week.
