it's still possible that symptoms can worsen after increasing water intake
by: Anonymous

Hi Richard,

While it's somewhat rare, it's still possible that symptoms can worsen after increasing water intake.

That might depend on what condition you are referring to.

Here are some reasons for symptoms to get worse after increasing water intake.

*Extra water may be dotoxing your body & you would feel worse as the toxins are extracted from body parts & disposed of.

*Your body may be so used to being dehydrated that it sends signals of discomfort as it adjusts to the increase in water.

*If the extra water you are drinking is of poor quality that may cause problems as you would be taking in unhealthy chemicals. Purchase a water filter.

*If you are taking in a lot more water make sure you are also increasing important nutrients. If not, the minerals can become overly diluted leading to feeling worse than before. That may include sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, etc. Take a multimineral supplement.

Apart from trying the suggestions above, you may want to increase water intake very gradually, perhaps 2 ounces a day.

Hope that helps. Good luck.
